The minimum order for buffets is 20 guests. Delivery, tax, and gratuity are additional. If you are tax exempt, we will need your Tax Exemption form on file. We accept cash, corporate checks, personal checks, and all major credit cards. If you are using a Groupon, we must have your voucher number prior to booking your event. Pasture raised at Hunt Family Farms in Amboy, Indiana. Supplemented feed by Hoosier Healthy Oil’s “cake” from cold pressing sunflower and canola seeds. We dry rub it and smoke it for up to 13 hours over hickory.

DELIVERY & SET-UP SERVICES
We offer delivery services to the North and Central Indiana. Our generalized service area is Ft. Wayne to Indianapolis. Our delivery services include packaging food for transport, transporting food in insulated containers, bringing food inside to your venue or office space. Delivery service is quoted on a case by case basis which factors mileage ($1.54 per mile), size of catering and type of delivery requirements (ie. navigating stairways, traveling through long spaces once at the venue).
Set-up services are an excellent addition to our catering services if you will be unable to attend to the food once it arrives. We will unpack all food, set-up a buffet line on designated tables, make sure all serving utensils are out, set up any place settings on buffet and make sure everything is ready for your guests to eat. This service is an additional 5% of the total before taxes.
For larger events, our on-site staff will set up your buffet line, facilitate service on a buffet line, clean up after service and remove any equipment for return. This service is based on an hourly rate of $15 per hour, per staff member. An additional 15% gratuity is added to the total before taxes.
In 2012, Chef Owner, Lindsay Dingman Baker opened the doors of Jefferson Street BBQ. A true focus on “local” being a mindset and not a tag line – she has managed to put together a cooperative of farmers, business people and herself to fulfill the raw food needs of Jefferson Street BBQ.
She and her husband, Clint, raise broiler chickens on their farm, Double Deuce Produce, in Swayzee, as well as raise egg laying hens, run a large you-pick strawberry and pumpkin patch, grow tomatoes, Brussel sprouts and peppers – to name a few.
Her friend and fellow farmer, Nathan and his family, operate a pastured hog farm in Amboy, just 7 miles away from the restaurant. He raises the hogs the “old fashioned way” and supplements their feed with the end result of “cold pressing” canola and sunflower seeds from Hoosier Healthy Oil and Indiana grown grains. Together, this partnership between Nathan, Lindsay and Mark of Hoosier Healthy Oil has spurred much excitement in the farming community – the cover story in Indiana Prairie Farmer published February 2017 hits on why it’s so important, “If you love barbecued pulled pork, you won’t find any better than what you can get at Jefferson Street BBQ in Converse. But the taste is only half the story. Where the pork comes from and how the hogs are fed is a unique tale in its own right. Combine all the pieces and you get a story about a farm-to-fork connection that two farmers and a businesswoman made happen on their own.”
Tim of Green River Greenhouse has teamed up with Lindsay to offer organic, locally grown romaine lettuce to Jefferson Street BBQ. The large, multi-million dollar aquaponics farm located in Peru grows produce year round. All of our salads are made with this lettuce!
The newest partnership, Cornerstone Bread Company, out of Indianapolis is “an Indiana Artisans member and owned and operated by baker Cindy Helmling. Focusing on environmental impact and supporting local business and agriculture, Helmling and her team of bakers and supporting staff achieve near zero waste in operations. As a wholesale bread provider for several of Indy’s trendiest eateries and finest restaurants, Cornerstone is a hidden gem in Central Downtown.” This bakery currently supplies our bread for both catering and in-house operations!
